I can’t believe it’s already Friday! I hope you’ve had a great start to the weekend. It’s been really warm here in Southern California which is great, but I hope I don’t burn at the LA Times Book Fest on Sunday! I’m so excited to go! .
For #thehamiltonedition “Why do you write like you’re running out of time?”–Established Authors: It’s been a week since I posted about Rick Riordan and I think we can all agree he’s an established author! If any of his books are on your TBR, move them up! You won’t regret it!
For #squeakybookishlibrary Comedy and Drama: We just started The Trials of Apollo: The Hidden Oracle and we love it!! The god Apollo has been sent to Earth as a human and in order to reclaim his place as a god of a Olympus, he must prove he is worthy. But OMG the lols. A Greek god turned 16 year old boy? Pure awesome. Rick Riordan captures the personality of a fallen Apollo so well. Apollo has lived most of his life as a god and being human has forced him to really consider his situation. The possibility that he might stay human is real which gives drama to his situation but it’s off set by his oblivious self-absorption too. I can’t wait for book 2 which comes out May 2!
