I can’t get over how fantastic this Eleanor and Park necklace is! This came in the August Owlcrate @owlcrate box and it captures the book so well! I love the details especially the cassette tape charm. Now, fess up, how many of you actually knew what the cassette tape was? And how many of you actually have used a cassette tape? I’m curious because I grew up using cassette tapes. Eight tracks were being phased out, but vinyl was still used a lot. And if you have to ask me what do I mean by vinyl, I don’t know if we can stay together anymore. .
For #bookocandisrex, Apparate me asap: Which book scenes made you cringe like a mofo? I know this is meant as it’s so bad that it’s cringeworthy, but what about awkward or embarrassing? You know Rainbow Rowell captures adolescent awkward so well! So many moments in Eleanor and Park at the beginning of the story that had me hiding. I don’t want to spoil it, but there were several moments when Eleanor is just being herself and I couldn’t help feeling bad for her situation that it forced some awkward and embarrassing scenarios for her. Same with Fangirl! Oh Cath! I identified with her so much! Cath: No. I don’t want to go out. I want to stay in and write fanfic.<——ME during my fanfic writing days. 😁
What are some cringeworthy book scenes you’ve read lately? To avoid spoilers, share the title of the book! It’s been a long time since I’ve read cringeworthy awkward stories.
