Book Challenge: Bookish Chevron + Fav Authors

I thought it would be fun to try this bookish chevron and then thought, oh, hey, I should use books by my favorite authors too! But, then when I tried grouping them, the spines were all different colors and in different shades and different sizes. UGH. 😩 But, hey, that’s why these are called book CHALLENGES, right? They’re supposed to get you out of your comfort zone and try new things. I’m actually pleased with my first try with a bookish chevron, but even more excited to push more books on all of you. HAHA.•

Some of these you’ve probably already seen featured on my feed already, but that’s why they’re my favorite! Daughter of Smoke and Bone series by Laini Taylor, The Raven Cycle by Maggie Steifvater, The Grisha Trilogy by Leigh Bardugo, the Graceling series by Kristin Cashore, and An Ember in the Ashes by Sabaa Tahir—if you haven’t read these yet, what are you waiting for? But for the ones that aren’t hyped as much here and if you’re looking for hidden gems—Mistborn by Brandon Sanderson, The Seven Realms series by Cinda Chima Williams, The Lumatere series by Melina Marchetta, and The Girl of Fire and Thorns by Rae Carson—I highly recommend checking these out! And The Star-Touched Queen is my new favorite this year. Roshani Chokshi @roshanichokshi is goals! I love her writing! If you love fantasy, then you’ll love these titles.

I also snuck in a couple of non-fantasy books. Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen is my all time favorite book. THIS BOOK. It got me through some tough times in real life and it inspired me to start writing. Everything, Everything by Nicola Yoon is such a sweet, fun book and I’ve met the author a few times and she’s so nice and supportive. Plus, her daughter is super cute! Haha.

Okay. So, let’s fangirl now over these books! Which of these have you read? Did you almost die? Did you survive the feels?
