My bookish challenge: Week 1 “Romance” Lov*Com

This is for my February weekly thematic bookish challenge #jennsbookishchallenge Week 1 “Romance”. My bookish challenge has a different theme each week for this month and you can post as many times for the theme as you like! This manga has a special place in my heart. This is Lov*Com or Lovely Complex by Aya Nakahara. It’s about two high school freshman Otani and Kozumi. They’re in the same class and have gained notoriety because of their difference in height which shouldn’t be a big deal, but Kozumi is a tall girl at 5’7″ and Otani is a short guy at 5’1″. The whole school thinks they should end up together because of their banter but of course they hate each other. Kozumi wants a guy who is taller than her and Otani wants his old girlfriend back. Eventually, they decide to work together to get their crushes. But it doesn’t help that Kozumi starts to have feelings for Otani which goes against her only tall guys rule.

I love this series to pieces because I was a tall girl growing up. I identified with the tall girl problems so much! This story is sweet and full of humor. I’d recommend it if you’re looking for pure fluff–perfect for the Valentine’s season!
